What happens to the skull kid in the forest meadow after you beat the game of Zelda Twilight Princess?

i'm only asking because i'm scared to death of that little runt and his puppets. i went back to the forest meadow, the song was normal, though, when i climbed up onto the bridge-thing surrounded by trees i've begun to here his horn! no kidding! it was through the whole song! loud and clear! i looked around, but it wasn't there, not even with the hawkeyes!! it's so weird and i was so startled! tell me, was i hearing things, or was he really back?
