Hi ! How is the current job availability for INDIANS in the U.S. ?

I'm basically an Indian, have finished engineering (B.E), and now preparing for GRE and TOEFL. If suppose i get selected in a average university within U.S. , what are my chances of getting a full time job there? Is work experience a pre-requisite ? pls Help !! thnx :-)
