I de-friended an ex from my FaceBook..Did I overreact?

You made the best decision. That same thing happened to my girlfriend with her exhusband but she didn't know he put all their private issues on the wall for everyone to see - so I messaged him and told him to cut it out - he defriended me - so I messaged my friend and told her - she has defriended him now. These guys give you the creeps - I wish they would get over their hang-ups.
