I want to try to be friends with this guy, but hes REALLY shy... HELP!!!?

Ok, I really like this guy, and he knows that I like him, and I dont think he likes me, but I want him to get to know me, and I want to know him. How do I do it? The thing is I am Major shy too, and if I went up to him, I think he would walk away... I have tried to talk to him ( Help him ) in Science b4, and he only glanced at me, and spoke so low I couldnt hear him. What do I do? Expecially if he wont talk to me... HELP!!!
