Intel Core I7 or AMD Phenom II X6 computer for video editing?

I7 Would and noone could argue the fact destroy the AMD 6 core at video editing it would most likely be able to edit the 3.5 hour video to 1080p in like 3 hours most likely 1 hour if you used a better editing program. If you got a new processor like a i7 or a AMD Phenom 9** then getting new DDR3 ram would be beneficial but would not have a dramatic effect in performance increase
