Does he want me back or something? (really confused)?

It seems to me that its about control...he gets off on being the puppet master and lying to everyone. He likes having so many women on the hook at his beck and call. Just because he is the father of your child doesn't mean he owns you or has any rights to you AT ALL> Don't let him keep sucking you back into his lies and deceit. if he is being nice to you, it is probably so he doesn't have to go to court. But court is not about you, it's about getting what your kid deserves. So go to court and keep your legs crossed!!!
